AI Usage Policy

How RentJinie uses artificial intelligence, what it does with your data, and the limits you should apply to AI-assisted output.

Last updated

RentJinie uses artificial intelligence to make rental operations less manual. This policy explains where AI is applied, what it is allowed to do with your data, and what you remain responsible for.

We would rather be plain about the limits than oversell the technology: AI features in RentJinie are assistive. They suggest, summarise and speed things up. They do not make binding decisions about your business, your customers or your money on their own.

Where AI is used

AI-assisted capabilities are applied to operational tasks inside your own account — for example, helping structure inventory data, summarising activity, and surfacing patterns in your bookings and returns. Availability varies by plan and evolves over time.

Core records — bookings, stock levels, payments, invoices and reports — are produced by deterministic application logic, not generated by a model.

Your data and model training

  • We do not sell your data, and we do not use your business data or your customers' personal data to train publicly available foundation models.
  • Where a feature sends data to a third-party AI provider to produce a result, we send the minimum needed, under contractual terms that prohibit that provider from training on it.
  • Aggregated and de-identified statistics — which cannot be traced back to you or your customers — may be used to evaluate and improve features.

Accuracy and human review

AI output can be wrong, incomplete or confidently misleading. Anything an AI feature suggests is a draft for you to check, not a decision.

You remain responsible for what you send to a customer, what you charge, what you record against a booking and any legal or tax position you take. Review AI-assisted output before acting on it, especially where money, deposits or damage claims are involved.

What we do not use AI for

  • Automatically deciding to charge, refund, forfeit a deposit or apply a damage fee without your confirmation.
  • Automated profiling of your customers to determine their creditworthiness or eligibility.
  • Making decisions with legal effect about any individual without human involvement.

Using AI responsibly in your account

  • Do not paste sensitive personal data into free-text fields that do not need it.
  • Make sure you have consent before processing a customer's ID document.
  • Treat AI-generated customer-facing text as your own communication — check it before it goes out.

Changes and questions

As we add or change AI features we will update this page. If you would like details about a specific feature — what it processes, and where — contact us and we will tell you.
