Accessibility Statement

RentJinie's commitment to accessible software, the standard we build to, known limitations, and how to report an accessibility barrier.

Last updated

We want RentJinie to be usable by everyone who runs or works in a rental business, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.

The standard we aim for

We build towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we take the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 seriously as an obligation rather than a formality.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks and heading order, so screen readers can navigate structure.
  • Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Text and interface colours checked against a 4.5:1 contrast ratio, in both the light and dark themes.
  • Real labels on form fields, with errors announced rather than shown by colour alone.
  • Layouts that reflow down to a 360px-wide screen without horizontal scrolling.
  • Reduced-motion support — animation is minimised when your system asks for it.
  • Text that resizes without breaking the page.

Known limitations

We are honest about the gaps. Some data-dense screens in the platform — wide reports and comparison tables — remain harder to use with a screen reader, and complex tables scroll horizontally on small screens. Uploaded content such as customer-supplied images carries whatever alternative text the uploading business provides, which we cannot guarantee.

These are on our list, and we would rather tell you than let you discover them.

Tell us about a barrier

If something stops you using RentJinie, contact us and describe what you were trying to do, the page or screen, and the assistive technology and browser you use. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not feature requests, and will tell you what we intend to do and when.

If you need information from the platform in an alternative format while we fix an issue, ask us and we will provide it.
